The restaurant de L’Isard is a family establishment founded in 1974 and is located in the heart of the Andorran capital, on the ever-bustling Avenida Meritxell.
The façade of the building in which it is located is listed as being of cultural interest as it forms part of the Granite Route of Andorra. Since its foundation and for half a century, the business has been managed by successive family generations who have managed to put their personal stamp on this place full of history. Their savoir-faire, personalised service, as well as their special vocation for service, have been and will continue to be the main mission of this house.
In the Isard restaurant, our chef will bring you a sophisticated combination of traditional Catalan and Andorran dishes with touches of French cuisine in a sublime adaptation of the menu to seasonal products. Don’t miss the spectacle of flavours we have prepared for you in one of the most highly rated restaurants in the area.
Enjoy the best local gastronomy, with local products and with all the flavour of Andorran tradition and its high mountain cuisine.
Andorran cuisine is a cuisine with its own stamp. Conditioned by the seasons, Andorra has taken advantage of the richness of its natural environment to produce high-quality local products in accordance with tradition, such as certified meats, artisan cheeses, organic jams and other high mountain sausages that have been used generation after generation in most of the principality’s traditional recipes.
Although Andorran cuisine has been influenced by other nearby cultures, such as Catalan and French, Andorra has managed to adapt the recipes inherited from its neighbouring countries to its own customs and traditions, thanks to the use of local seasonal products that can only be eaten at a specific time of the year and are typical of the area. Examples of this are the different varieties of mushrooms, such as boletus or chanterelles, which can be found in seasonal creams and rice dishes or as a complement to all kinds of dishes. Likewise, game meat or trout when the fishing season arrives, as well as some winter vegetables harvested directly from the mountains and natural Andorran syrup made from fir cones, are the secret of a cuisine rich in natural products.
Our premises have different restaurant and leisure areas with capacity for more than 100 people.
